FERIA EL PROGRESO(FEAST)

La ciudad de El Progreso esta de fiesta,
 Se trata de la feria patronal en honor a la Virgen de Las Mercedes.
 Entre las actividades, que se tienen programadas estan actividades
 culturales,  eventos deportivos como bolibol, basquetbol y futbol,
Los cordinadores de la feria promenten que  esta sera única e
 inolvidable.
 Se  llevara a cabo la elección del Mandador,  los candidatos son
el catedrático universitario Miguel Ángel Barahona, el cantautor
 Marcos Chávez, el periodista Luis Turcios, el conocido dirigente
 patronal Hipólito Reyes Wong y el maestro de educación
 secundaria Favio Gómez.
El   Festival del Arroz en el parque Las Mercedes.
Una de las novedades que tendra la feria progreseña sera la exhibición
 de un avión de la Fuerza Aérea en el parque Ramón Rosa , el primer
 Festival de Independencia en el gimnasio Mercedes Morales con la
 participación de diez grupos musicales pertenecientes a la organización
 MC Productions de San Pedro Sula, entre ellos Kazzabe, Chicas Roland,
Santa Fe y Hermanos Arriola.
El ultimo dia de la feria sera el 25 de septiembre, que empezara en la
 mañana, habrá un desfile de caballos pura sangre, seguido por motorizados.
Luego el ya tradicional desfile de carrozas que contará con la participación
de catorce vehículos.
Y en  la noche,  el gran carnaval. Brindarán todo un espectáculo musical
 grupos como Silver Star, Kazzabe, Los Roland, La Gran Banda, Santa Fe,
Los Profesionales, Candela, Zona Caliente, La Raza, Los Latinos, Soluna y
 tres discomóviles que deleitarán a todos los progreseños.
 La Perla del Ulúa se ha puesto su mejor atuendo para recibir con los brazos
 abiertos a nacionales y extranjeros para celebrar su feria patronal en honor a
 la Virgen de Las Mercedes.
